Touching Up on Native American History

As a young mother trying to raise her kids in a foreign country, well at least foreign to me since my roots belong to the other end of the globe, I try to instill values in them; values that will mold and guide them throughout their lives. As much as possible, I want them to learn about different cultures, customs and traditions so that when they finally step out into the real world, they would know how to treat other people of other races or ethnicities with utmost respect. That is very important to me since I know that my kids will be growing up in an entirely different environment, far different from what they were initially used to.

The Native Americans is one ethnic group which I want my kids to learn about. I believe that they have such a rich history and they uphold values which are worth imitating. I would definitely be buying books about Native American History so my children and I can touch up on our knowledge about the Native Americans. Apart from that, I also want to learn more about how they live their lives and what beliefs they hold dearest to their hearts and just why is that so.
